My name is Firina Achor and I am the oldest of 5 kids - I have 3 sisters and a brother (he's the baby of the family). My siblings are my FAVOURITE people in the world, words can't describe how much I love them and how proud I am to be their older sister! I was born in Khartoum,Sudan - don't remember much about to be honest I've been back once since moving away. My family migrated to Cairo when I was 2 years old and I lived there until I was 8. We moved to Ottawa when I was 8 years old and lived there until my big move to Vancouver! Yes I went to elementary school, high school and University in Ottawa - a long time, I know... I moved to Vancouver August 2013, more here on my 25th birthday! It was my quarter century gift to myself to move somewhere new and explore this country. I moved to Vancouver a year after graduating from University, I sorta felt stuck after graduating and no set plans. I knew I wanted to go back to school, so my thoughts were - WHY NOT MOVE to Vancouver. Mind you, I've never been to Vancouver before moving here. So I basically moved to Vancouver to live outside of my comfort zone!
I am a Brand and Community Connector for Myodetox Vancouver, which used to be Physio Room. I've been working for the company for about 2 a half years, wow times flies! What I love about my work is day in and day out I get to work with some incredible people that are VERY driven. Also, I get to connect with some pretty rad people throughout the Vancouver wellness/health community.
I stand for human connection, we are placed on this earth to be kind and connect with people. its that simple!
Something that makes me unique is that I will always remember someone that I meet, even if we met for like 5 minutes! Its weird I know... but somehow I can remember something about that person or create a story.
